So apparently my hometown used to be cool. Yes, yes, we’re the home of the NPD Group and have a lovely waterfront that smells like fish rectum, but we used to have the subscription center for D.C. comics!

UPDATE! My girlfriend says that nothing related to comics is cool. But, come on, a comic publisher’s subscription order processing facility? What could be cooler?! Maybe two Fonzie’s Eiffel towering a WoW-playing supermodel on the hood of a Camero near a double rainbow, but I hear it’s damn near impossible to get proper footing on that slick, rust-proof finish.

UNHEARD-OF SECOND UPDATE! Forgot to mention we were also used as a setting in Heroes while the show was still good. The scene was shot in San Pedro, California but that’s just because we were too good to let George Takei in our town.
