Bacon, Egg and Cheese

Oftentimes the writers of the New York Times seem to live in their own little world but in this instance they really hit the nail on the head. I’m a fan of the quick, easy and greasy and there are plenty of things I won’t buy at a bodega. But breakfast sandwiches are just universally good, though I may get some flack for stating I prefer sausage, egg and cheese (haters: hate away). Here’s a sample of what the Times has to say on the issue:

“Trying to improve the breakfast sandwich by spending more on the bacon is like telling a fireman who just dragged four children out of a burning house to change his shirt before he goes on the evening news.”
